New Balance Fresh Foam Vongo V2 Running Shoe

New Balance Fresh Foam Vongo V2

The New Balance Fresh Foam Vongo review provided a unique support design in a highly cushioned, low offset package that originally released in 2016. Rejecting the need of a traditional medial posting, the Vongo looked more towards the geometry of the shoe in order to reduce overpronation. Now with version 2, the shoe offers a completely new look with small modifications that should continue to maintain the same philosophy as the original.

The Vongo v2 continues to use a Fresh Foam midsole with a Varus Wedge design in order to provide a high level of cushioning and support. While the sidewall geometries of the midsole have been tweaked, the shoe should continue to provide a similar underfoot experience. A redesigned outsole also provides modified geometry and an extended longitudinal groove is used to enhance flexibility.

One of the more noticeable changes on the Vongo v2 is the updated upper design. The shoe removes several of the unnecessary overlays seen in the first version and now features a softer engineered mesh material with an internal bootie construction.

While the shoe continues to offer the same stack height and offset as the original, the stylistic overhaul gives the shoe a fresh, sleek look.
